Creating a Group in Project Manager
I know how to create a project plan group and had done that, but it wasn’t clear to me where I could go with it. Are there no FAQs or help articles on project groups? Or could you maybe tell me why this feature is in the product in the first place? That will help give me a perspective on it.
On the demo time period, is there an email that comes out prior to the expiration notifying that is upcoming? If so, can you tell me when the email(s) are sent?
Yes, this is probably the only area of the system that it not fully documented using Project Management Templates. Basically, the purpose of a Project Group is to allow customers to group related projects and see the overall performance on the Dashboard. For instance in a larger organization, an IT Manager might want to have their own group of projects so that they can see all of the projects undertaken within their department and whether they are currently on track.
In terms of the emails, they go out 3 days and then 1 day before the end of the trial period. However sometimes they end up in a users spam folder, so be sure to add a rule in your email client so that all email from project manager goes into your inbox, if you want to be sure to catch it. Otherwise, you could schedule an appointment in your calendar in x day’s time, to consider signing up to the service (before the end of the trial period).
