Gannt Chart for Project Manager

Q: How can I enlarge the charts on the portfolio project manager dashboard so that I can see all my projects at once. For example, if I want to look at project costs across the entire company I have to scroll down on that rather small frame to be able to see costs for all projects at once. Is there any project plan to be able to expand the size of the charts for future versions?
A: The ability to zoom in to enlarge a chart is a popularly asked for feature and is on our high priority list to build. It will be released very early in the new year 2010.

Q: The screen shots don’t work for me as my projects contain too many tasks for a single screen shot and because of the issues I have had with the timescales on the gantt I can’t reduce the on screen gannt chart to a length that the whole project shows in the window. I’d have to try and paste several screen shots as project management templates together and make it look professional.
A: Have you tried to do a multi page print? Make sure when your PC printer control appears (after you have clicked the Print button on the Tasks page) that you change your settings / preferences so that you print in landscape and not in portrait. That should help.

Q: Another feature I love to see and that you might consider for previous versions is putting the resource allocation report into a graphical format. The table is great, but I love to be able to cast any eye across a chart to see who’s busy and who’s not without stopping to read numbers.
A: Yes this is definitely on the list to build early in the new year. If you have any other great ideas, please let us know. 95% of all new features come from customer requests, so we take all of your requests seriously by logging in and then building them where we can.
