Project Management Software Tools

Q: Document access control.  I would like for subcontractors to be able to have access to their contract, their schedules, their payouts, and invoicing. Obviously, I don’t want this seen by other contractors.  Is there a way to control who sees what document?
A: This feature is currently scheduled for implementation in the 2nd quarter next year. In the meantime, most customers just add password to their Project Management Template Word Documents, so that they can control who and open which documents.

Q: Email input to the project.  Many Project Management Software tools now have the ability to accept an email with project name, task, owner, assignee, etc. as part of the subject line and then the PM tool will parse the message and add it to the project.
A: This is something we are considering. However most tools that do it currently, are only simple “To Do List” or simple “Task List” tools. They don’t have the sophistication that our product has.

Q: Mobile interface (for iPhone or Blackberry).
A: Yes, this will be released in the second quarter next year as well.

Q: Client portal. The ability to publish out specific information to a custom portal for clients to see without them being able to see all of the project issues.
A: Rather than offer this, we will offer what we call “Advanced Security”, in which you can choose the exact data and page sin the system, that you want your client’s top access. We will also provide branding so that you can brand the system with your own company logo and name. Currently, if you click on the “Start” button and select “Customers” then you can allow customers (i.e. clients) to login to your account, for free. They will get read-only access to the Dashboard, Tasks and Reports pages.

Q: Discussion (chat) area.
A: This is high priority on our list to do. It will be done by February.

The reason why we’re different than any other online provider is that our Tasks page is the most advanced online project planner in the industry.
There is no other online provider quite like it. It allows you to be able to create project plans online, and the features rival MS Project. This is where all of our competitors fall short. So if you want to plan your projects online, then we’re the clear market leaders by far. Let me know if this answers your questions sufficiently and if you have any further questions.
