List the Online Project Management Resources
To create a comprehensive Resource Plan, you will first need to list the types and number of resources required to complete the project. A ‘resource’ is defined as the labor, equipment and materials used to complete each activity in the Project.
Labor
Summarize the roles, responsibilities and skill-sets required to complete the project. This includes the roles of current staff appointed, further roles to be appointed, the roles of external business staff involved with the project and the roles of external suppliers. In short, every role in the project should be defined using the following table:
| Role | No. | Summarized Responsibilities | Summarized Skills |
Start Date | End Date |
| Project Manager | 1 | Delivering the approved solution to meet the full requirements of the customer | Time ManagementCost ManagementQuality ManagementPeople Management | xx/yy/zz | xx/yy/zz |
Project Planning: Resource Listing Table
In the table above:
- · The ‘No.’ column represents the number of full-time equivalent people required to undertake the role. For instance a project may require 1 Project Manager, 1 Project Administrator and 10 staff
- · The ‘Start-Date’ and ‘End-Date’ columns identify how long the role will exist for. In the instance of the Project Manager, the Start Date will be during the Project Initiation phase and the End Date soon after the completion of the Project Closure Report in the Project Closure phase.
